I charge $200 for 53-minute individual telehealth sessions.

I am out-of-network with insurance. If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide you superbills which you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. I also partner with services that can submit claims for you for $3-10/claim.

How to Verify Out-of-Network Benefits

After the yearly out-of-network deductible is met, insurance will reimburse you a percentage of their “Allowable Amount” per session. Insurance plans don’t publish their Allowable Amount, but they often range from $100 to $200 for 53-minute individual sessions (CPT code 90837). For example, if your Allowable Amount is $150, and your insurance covers 80% of it, they will reimburse you $120.

You may have separate yearly deductibles for in-network and out-of-network costs. Some insurances may only credit their Allowable Amount for each session towards meeting your deductible rather than the full $200 cost of each session. For example, if you have a $300 deductible, and the Allowable Amount is $150, you would meet your out-of-network deductible after 2 sessions. You would then start getting reimbursements from your third session onwards until your yearly deductible resets.

You can verify the estimate of your benefits by calling the Behavioral Health or Member Services number on your insurance card and asking the following questions.

Do I have out-of-network benefits for outpatient behavioral health teletherapy?
What is my remaining out-of-network deductible? Is it separate from my in-network deductible? When does my deductible reset each year
What percentage of the Allowable Amount will I be reimbursed after meeting my deductible?
What is the out-of-network Allowable Amount for teletherapy sessions with CPT code 90837? Will the full $200 cost of each session go towards meeting my deductible, or only the Allowable Amount?
Do I need a referral to see an out-of-network therapist?
If I want to submit superbills directly to my insurance, how do I submit them?

My Promise To You

Safety

Build a meaningful connection with your therapist. Feeling validated, heard, and respected will improve the therapeutic relationship.

Honesty

Being honest with yourself is not always easy, so it can be hard to share with your therapist too. When trust and comfort exist, honesty can surface.

Connection

Once we are honest with ourselves,
we make room for learning and growth. Growth may look like breaking old patterns, creating new habits, and establishing a plan to meet goals.
